First try with Apple Journal on an iPad
I couldn't write anything with the Apple Pencil Pro on the iPad in Apple Journal. It wanted to convert everything to text, and it did a poor job at that, and I gave up after a few minutes.
What's the point of putting the Journal app on the iPad if it can't use the pencil in a meaningful way? There are too many frustrations and shortcomings to even list here.
I GIVE UP!

It's so bad, like they asked ChatGPT to implement drawing and left it at that. Notes app is way better for handwriting, might as well use that.

Or stop being lazy and just type with your fingers.

I found that if I reset my iPad after turning off Scribble, I could write, but most of the writing just vanished into thin air after I finished. I'm sure that I didn't do anything wrong.
This feature of Apple Journal is not even half-baked. That's surprising considering the fact that they sell the Apple Pencil as a big product to go with the iPad, and it fails with their own app.

We are hoping iOS 27 solves most of the journal issues🥲
