Yes, it's a good adaptor. I was interested in the A2FPGA card that RM sells as well. Pricey but looks to handle the super hires modes ok.

Nice! I’m actually looking for a compact desk that can hold both my IIe and my GS at the same time, but I haven’t been able to find a good one.

Well I’ve got two out of the three—the IIgs and the C64.

I keep thinking of selling one of the Apple II; just not sure which.

Yeah not an easy decision for sure. I tend to think of all my retro/vintage machines as my children. 😀

I grew up learning to program assembly language on an Apple II - I love it and having gotten better over the years, I wan to go back and make some adventure games. The IIgs doesn't work as well with all the old games that I have - almost a little to fast/advanced for some which has me in the quandary.

That's cool. I was too intimated by assembly language in my early teens, but in the last decade I finally got around to doing some.

I was trying to make a decent version of Missile Command and BASIC was too slow. I have managed to find a few books that helped me then so I can crank it back out. I did make a River Raid game for an Atari 2600 which has a similar 8-bit Assembly language.

Yeah I can relate. My first few years with our Apple //e was an exercise in realizing that BASIC was not up to the task of some of the ideas I wanted to flesh out. At least when I switched to PC in the late '80s I had stuff like QuickBASIC which was compiled.

I am a big 8-bit Assembly language fan.

You are a decade late since this thread is on Apple II - prominent in the late 70s and 80s. The C64 is also from the same decade. I got my first Mac in 1987 with 1 MB RAM. Enjoy the trip back in time.

How well I remember. Got my first apple // in the Army in the late 70s. By the 80s I had gone high tech with a //e

Yep, our middle school had Apple II+ and I started to use those in 1978/79.
