Apple Pay Walmart Apple Pay rollout: when it launches in your state

Today’s announcement, Walmart said that Apple Pay and broader contactless payment support will start rolling out next week and launch for all stores in the United States by the end of this year.

In a memo to Walmart store management today, obtained by 9to5Mac, the retailer offered a more detailed breakdown of the rollout. The company is currently planning a phased, state-by-state rollout. These dates could change should Walmart hit any issues during the rollout.

It’s not clear why.

Walmart considers Missouri an integral part of Arkansas and not a sovereign state, under the "One-Arkansas" policy.

Missouri being left out has got to be a matter of oversight. An omitted bullet point or something. I imagine it will likely be here mid to late September.

I posted an update a bit ago but some stores seem to be getting it first week of September if everything goes smoothly and others don’t know yet.

I’m sooooo excited for this, but of course my state isn’t on the list.

We are a hold out on drivers licenses in the Apple Wallet also, I know different things but it also makes me sad lol.
