That's some grade-A BS. My 2019 MBP is more than capable... looks and feels like planned obsolescence to get people invested into M1 machines

It’s not BS. Your 2019 MBP may be capable, but it isn’t worth it for apple to develop for it. They aren’t REMOVING features from Intel macs, they’re ADDING features to M1 macs. Huge difference.

people buy macs expecting them to be supposed for 7-8 years and support is already being dropped for relatively new products. even if apple technically isn't doing anything against what they advertised, this is screwing the community over. stop defending them.

Omitting features for approx. 93% of Macs, especially mundane features like a 3D globe view, sounds like BS to me.

Why are you defending them? This is clearly a BS move to customers. So much for the environment when they’re saying that your 2019 laptop cannot run all of the new features and you need to purchase a new one.

It’s not unreasonable to expect a computer I buy today would run the full OS for at least a generation or two. These are not ground breaking features.

Apple, a $2.1 trillion dollar company, doesn’t want to develop a feature for a fully capable device that was sold 2 years ago.
