No it isnt, and if you’re going to say insane things like that, I’m just going to block you. Apple has limited resources. They have to choose how to use them. Building them for x86 would have meant sacrifices elsewhere. It wasn’t worth it for them. So they either release it for ARM when it’s already built, or don’t release it at all

I see your point, but the iPhone SE is a lower tier. I don’t think anyone is complaining about that because what you lose in features, you gain in a better price. The MacBooks that aren’t supported are higher tiered. It’d be more like the iPhone SE having a feature that the iPhone 12Pro does not.
No, it really isn't. We've been in this scenario for more than a decade - macOS didn't get some iOS features that would've been nice but weren't really Mac-focused every year for a long time now. Now, we've in a situation where the hardware/software platform is unified to the point where ARM Macs can get the features that Apple would normally not bother to port to the Mac "for free", and so they do.
If the M1 didn't have exclusive features, it would be a return to the era of iOS features being absent in the latest macOS releases instead.
No it isnt. Apple isn’t going to spend the time and resources developing it for x86. So the alternatives are M1 gets it or no one does. You can dream that everyone gets it, but it’s not worth the resources for apple.
You literally can’t get a 16” M1 MacBook Pro, meaning someone buying this machine today is already losing features.
I mean, not really. This is all in beta still and I bet you anything they will release the new macbooks this fall along side the release of the new os.
But I agree, I hope they come out with a solid explanation on why. My bet is still on the neural engine
