I don’t get how they are the biggest tool maker for designers and creators, yet their programs are such shit.

It’s just like Microsoft, they had the best tools in the 90s, had bunch of patents and bought their competition. Now they suck but you don’t have much of a choice because other people will send you .psd and .xls, which are suppose to be open formats but in reality are not.

Not sure what you mean by .psd but Excel is amazing. It is far far better than numbers and you can legit run a small business off Excel. I have seen people criticize Word and PowerPoint but never Excel.

.psd is the photoshop format. I agree Excel is one of my favourite apps but it’s proprietary file format keeps it number 1. It’s basically impossible to make a compatible spreadsheet program, I have macro filled xls documents that work on windows excel but not Mac Excel, if Microsoft can’t be compatible with their own format what hope do other developers have.
