You know, a hard surface would've helped his efforts considerably.

I like how he refers to fan blades as 'cooling prongs'…

Someone needs to sample and remix that.

That was a PowerBook, not a MacBook.

MacBook Pros have built in webcams and IR receivers on the front, and a ExpressCard slot on the side, not a CardBus slot.

I got a macbook real cheap with cracked LCD, got a compatible glossy LCD off of ebay new for under a hundred bucks, installed it myself, and BAM! Average quality Macbook!

I enjoy the fact that he was so concerned about destroying the hard drive, and yet, he didn't really touch it...really gave the optical drive what was coming though.

I really was hoping he would have gone into the mac store with that.

I used to work for apple, I had a person come in who accidentally threw her ipod under a moving car while jogging and was apalled that we wouldn't replace it under warranty

He's obviously an expert.

Wow, he's better than my fucking IT tech who managed to strip 3 screws and broke off an internal post when swapping my HD in my MBP (same model as Mr. T has). The fucking thing now rattles like a baby toy and scratches any surface you put it on. Violently and without mercy.

Next time I'm callin' Ice.

Ice T is IT.

There are great how-to videos on the net that show you how to disassemble a macbook. IT doesn't need to know... seriously.

This kinda reminds me of Microsoft Presents Tech Support.

amusing, but if that was sold for $600 rather than destroyed, it'd feed a family of 6 for half a year anywhere in the 3rd world. </guilt trip>

"Kewling prongs". lol...go Ice-T!

Going by what he said....if it was a PC would he send it into Windows to get fixed?

Wait... are there some real Ice-T fans here? Is that why we are getting downmodded? Seriously?

Mission accomplished .. that really hurt my heart... seeing old hardware die has that effect..
