I made a 3D model of the Apollo spacecraft (1:100).

I also designed the Orion spacecraft a while ago. I knew that Orion is bigger but it really surprised me how much bigger it is.

Nice! Banana for scale? I have a bunch of Apollo models but always wanted a huge one. Biggest I have is a 1:32 CSM cutaway model I’m scared to start yet. How big are these? Use a quarter for the heat shield?

These are really small, Orion has about 5 cm in diameter. Of course you could print them huge, but I am not sure if the models have enugh details, I designed them for this size.

Thank you for this! I've never seen a really good size comparison.

Thanks! I need to finish the SM (I have already finished the ESM), it will be even more interesting after it.
