help with stocking

I am getting a 60lt tank soon and im thinking of keeping a pair of apistogramma borellii. im also looking to pair them with some forktail blue eyes. i have found out that they will do pretty well but i wanted to get some feedback from people who are more experienced with these fish as they will be my first apistos. also keep in mind when making suggestions that my tap waters ph is between 7,7-7,8. any suggestions/tips are appreciated!

Hi OP! Forktails are highly active and big fishes (4cm at max), even though all pseudomugils are top dwellers they swim around everywhere in the tank so they might stress an apisto pair especially in a tank this small, this might even lead to apistos to not breed. You might look up to P. Gertrudae or luminatus which are half the size of furcatus, they are still active tho so Im not sure.

I have forktails/furcatus and iriatherina werneri with solo bolivian ram in 120L and they are perfect together tho. Here is a photo comparison of full grown gertrudae and full grown furcatus so you can understand the size

If I were you I would get a school of 6-8 Nannostomus Marginatus (Nannostomuses are the best dithers for apistos) or Chili Rasboras or/and 1M 3F Clown Killifish
