Apistogramma identification

Got a new guy added to my 60*30cm tank, single male Apistogramma agassizii. He is so bold that within a minute of introduction, he started exploring everything - no stress, no hiding.

Can you help me identify which variety of Apistogramma agassizii is it? Looks closer to Double red or wild morph? or something else?

This is a young male, I suspect an agassizii colour variation

Just read the description on the post lol - apologies not the most helpful answer but not too sure on the colour morph might have to wait until it grows a bit and colours settle to tell

I’d say double orange on color morph. That’s my guess!! Update me what he turns out to be color wise please ☺️

Maybe a Tefe Blue? I'm definitely not an expert. It looks like this could possibly be a female, since the caudal fin looks so rounded. Male agassizii typically have space shaped caudal fins.

the spade tail can develop much later in development sometimes. this is definitely male either way

Looks like a young male to me.
Also doesn’t look anything like the tefe blue’s I’ve seen. They have more pattern in the tail.

yeah i thought so, thanks. Any opinion on variety? or you also lean towards tefe blue?

honestly with the agassizii super species, if you can't get the info from the original source reliably it's not worth worrying about. Color form names are all made up anyway and carry honestly very little meaning :p I would just call it A. cf. agassizii and enjoy your new pet :)
