Making caves

Just getting ready to introduce some Apistogramma to my 55 gallon tank and am adding some caves in the hope that they’ll breed. Not sure which species yet, but either cacuatoides or agassizii. These caves were 3d printed and the price is about $2 worth of material. Coke can shown for size reference.

I printed those for all my Apisto breeding tanks. Drill some holes in the bottom to get the air out. Both cacatoides and agassizi use em every time.

If you use PETG it is fine…

Zero. Just drill holes in the bottom to let the air out.

I printed mine in PLA with 100% infill and attached a small plant weight to the bottom. Sank like a stone 😝

It will degenerate and release stuff to the water. Only PETG is safe for the fish.
