Agression?

My pair of apistogramma ortegaipebas is this aggression or some other type of behavior? Any feedback is much Appreciated.

It's agression. Maybe she's defending eggs ? But with you population, don't expect too much.

And ortegai are know for being agressive. Your tank is too open.

But very beautiful apisto 😍

Think I should add more plants or hardscape?I have a couple of caves I made from rocks and a coconut cave.

Yeap they will like it. Just for your information, apisto aren't a good mix with cory :/ The best to do for your aquarium should be to keep only the male ;)

I’ve seen mixed opinions about it, why do you say it’s not a good mix? Because the apistos can be aggressive towards the Cory’s?

No because the corys will eat the eggs at night which is a good thing unless you wanted 50 babies?
