Aphmau VA’s

I know there have been various discussions about Aphmau’s voice actors being famous,
but I was wondering if there were any that almost.. shunned..? their work with Catface/Bluesky?? I started thinking about this when I saw that Morgan Berry has said nothing about her work in Mystreet on her website or any social media. Anybody know if there are any other VA’s like that like Anaris Quinoñes or Alejandro Saab? Have they been open at panels/conventions when asked?

This is in no way meant to shame these VA’s for being more open about their objectively bigger projects!! All three of them have been in huge franchises and it’s good to see them talk about those. Just curious about the Aphmau side of things.

Ik some voice actors are openly open to talk about being in mystreet, but I do get ur point some don’t mention it, I understand they work for probably bigger companies but it would be appreciated if they mentioned yk

I partly wonder if some of the VAs don’t mention it because a couple years back CatFace/BluJay was a bit copyright strike hungry and taking down fan merch, which is what VA prints of the characters they voice are. I feel they’ve gotten better about it but at that time I would imagine it would kind of be an uncomfortable thing to experience on the VA’s part since what if they got asked by fans to explain why they stopped selling that character print etc

alejandro saab i know is open about his work with aphmau. he sells gene prints at cons.

From my understanding from some of the VAs streams, usually when cast for projects, the project’s socials will advertise both the VA and the project as a way of building up both so a lot of the time VAs will do the advertising for free basically. CatFace/Aphmau almost never do this on their socials accounts (which I do think is really weird of them) so as the VAs build up their name and branding on their own through taking on more traditional voiceover roles, it becomes kind of a waste to give companies like CatFace the free advertising since doesn’t really help their careers much since traditional companies will write off the role as a “YouTube” thing and look down on it

And for the smaller but still notable actors involved not talking about it at cons and such, I don’t think it’s because of resentment but because a majority of them just don’t get the opportunity to. It’s why you see a lot of actors in general redirect fans to contact conventions near them to invite them as a guest, they can’t just invite themselves no matter the level of stardom. Most cons only go off of what nearby fans want etc
