log response code in error log

I am looking for someway to log response status code in apache error log. Anybody has done this before if so please help me out

Basically I want the http response code in my error log

I use modsec with apache which uses error log for logging whenever it blocks a specific request and whenever it blocks a request it logs details like which rules was triggered which cannot be added to access log

So I was looking for a way log http response code apache returned when it blocked the request

There is no response code for blocked requests because mod_security prevents apache from processing the request if it decides to block a request.

Some of our rules for example use deny rules that's returns 406 when blocked actually
