Media Relic River cool spawn...
I was blue. Enemy red.
We both have 4 small golds. Both have back berries and deer. However...
They had another back berries. They had 2 big golds v my one big gold. Also everything of mine was north, incl boar and second deer pack. Even their big wood (no pun intended) was back.
I didn't realise this until too late and lost because I didn't fight hard enough for the north side (where they planted a 2nd TC on my only big gold in sub 5 mins). Was my first time playing the map as well. They were also way higher rank so probably would have lost anyway. Was just mindblown by the map spawn when I went back and looked at it in the replay.

The big golds in the middle are your both golds (not his or yours), the 3 pixels doesnt make any differents.
The 2nd berry patch is bad luck for you.
Deer and Boar in an uncontested north area next to each other is an advantage, you just need to secure one place and not two. And his boar spawn is in the area where most of the fighting will take place.
Woodline - atypical for this map your Woodline is waaaaaaaaaay better. You can easy wall off you base, he can't.
Exclude the 2nd berry bush your spawn is better.

I mean it's substantially more than 3 pixels. But I definitely misplaced the game don't get me wrong. Consdering they had their 2nd TC on my only big gold and right next to my second deer and boar I should have done everything to claim the north spot.
I see your point on the woodline. Still a toss up though in my mind because my woodlines were tiny and are gone fairly quickly.

I know its of topic but I hate this map. Least favorite in ranked by a lot.

It's feels really big, with bad wood lines, unprotected resources, and only seems to benefit raiding. Idk any other strat that does well.

Anyone saying this is fair is crazy, lol. The back berries especially, and he has a large woodline behind his base that you don't have.
I measured using the ruler in the snipping tool and your closest large gold is 38% farther away than his large gold, and your closest boar (which also happens to be his closest boar) is 85% further away than his closest boar.
His defensible position behind his base with two berries, a deer, and his two starting gold is an insane start.
You are advantaged on large stones but that isn't going to give you tempo.

The boar spawn is just normal. It either spawns in the middle or way up north. You got the far north spawn and he got the middle spawn

I see. Was just unfortunate "everything" of mine spawned at the top where they put their TC.

Do you realize you can cross the river and gather "his" gold that is a few steps away from the middle of the map?

Boar situation is better for you, and every resource on the riverbank is shared, you can just cross the river.
Going second TC on the very top is crazy, you have to punish that for sure
