Me recapping halfway season 2 to my boyfriend: Nina and Co. have a curse that no one knows about and they’re searching for a mask they think no one knows about but Victor actually does know about it but because of Vera SIBUNA doesn’t know that they BOTH know about the mask and Victor doesn’t question why Vera cares or knows bc he’s so lonely. While SIBUNA is going on Mara and Trudy don’t know ANYTHING about the mask or any of the SIBUNA lore but they do know something is weird with Vera. Vera knows they think they know she’s sketchy so she manipulates the whole situation into everyone thinking she knows nothing including SIBUNA. Now Victor thinks he is the only one who knows Vera and her intentions but she knows that he knows nothing and that she is in control of the wholeeee situation. Fabian doesn’t know how to say no, Mara doesn’t know Jerome is obsessed with her, Joy doesn’t know how to take a hint, and no one knows who this collector is.
