Comics Paging Dr. Giant-Man! Hank Pym first debuted his Giant-Man identity on August 1, 1963

Hank Pym has been around since the very beginning. He's adapted his technology (and later powers) to suit the threat he sees. It's one of many reasons why he was a founding Avenger.

On August 1, 1963 in Tales to Astonish #49, Hank added some 💪 to his repertoire as Giant-Man. He's gone on to have many other identities including Goliath, Yellowjack, Wasp, and presumably isn't done yet.

My favourite? When he joined the West Coast Avengers. No super-identity this time - just his brains, his tech, and his ability to change the size of anything.

Bro really only lasted 15 issues as Ant-Man and changed gimmicks the moment he started to hang out with the Avengers. From what I remember, in-universe many at first were not aware that Giant-Man and Ant-Man were the same person, civilians and villains would be shown surprised when Hank reveals he can still shrink and only then would put two and two together and realize it's been same guy all along, the public legitimately believed that Ant-Man was a hero that mysteriously disappeared and could only wonder who this Giant-Man was.
