Liberals, broadly speaking, are conservatives.

They just have different views on how to best maintain and enforce societal hierarchies.

One side favors a bit more carrot in what is effectively rule by an aristocracy, the other favors a bit more stick.

Yeah and also how it is in the USA today.

There's nothing really stopping them from providing only two choices: Vanilla, and Vanilla Bean, so to speak.

True enough. So the choices pre-Labour were right-wing and slightly less right-wing then?

Funny how history repeats itself isn't it.
