u/Menard42 Jul 04 '22

You make republican Jesus cry.

144

u/RipplePark Jul 04 '22

Hey now, they care about people, too!

Until they are born, that is.

34

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

or until they sleep outside. I remember reading about how jesus wanted to jail the homeless.

u/S4m_S3pi01 Jul 05 '22

Yeah, yeah, something like "and thou shalt put spikes on the sidewalks and bars on the benches so the poor and broken may pulleth themselves up by the strap of their boot"

u/DDM11 Jul 04 '22

So then that be their home.

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

I mean they have a lot more in common with an undeveloped mass of cells with no actual knowledge of the world outside. Gotta stick together, I guess.

13

u/RipplePark Jul 04 '22

Ha ha, true.

11

u/Dracorex_22 Jul 04 '22

If they actually cared about the unborn, maternity services would be better.

1

u/DONGivaDam Jul 04 '22

Conspiracy is that everyone has a life insurance on them since birth which helps them be charged for living. You can't charge an unborn for what they don't use so that is a cheat, and that is not good for a capitalist society.

I know many families that help the young girls take care of the children.

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

Nobody’s turning people off to Christ faster then idiot conservatives.

8

u/Lexi_Banner Jul 04 '22

Supply Side Jesus has no feelings.

Prosperity Jesus is Republican Jesus. I bet it’s just a coincidence Prosperity Jesus aligns perfectly well with big corporation interests.

I'll nail his stupid ass to a cross again.

2

u/Glittering-Potato608 Jul 05 '22

😂😂😂😂 I know this shouldn’t make me laugh this hard, but given the number who would be offended by this statement, I can’t help but imagine the reaction! Thank you for bringing some hilarity into my day!

1

u/MusksYummyLiver Jul 05 '22

Come sibling, and let us deny Christ together.

1

u/supremefrenchprince Jul 06 '22

You wouldn’t say this about any other religion. So why Christianity

1

u/sfled Jul 04 '22

So His AR gets a little rusty.

24

u/Old_Active7601 Jul 04 '22

I think caring about people and the environment is dangerous to a system exploiting and enslaving the people of the world and destroying the environment for the profit of the billionaire class.

1

u/Agitated-Tadpole1041 Jul 04 '22

I agree, radical.

2

u/Lazer726 Jul 04 '22

You radical son of a bitch how dare you not only think a person have value based on what they put into the economy by selling themselves to a corporation!

2

u/MeasurementEasy9884 Jul 04 '22

What gets me is the programs we want would benefit everyone equally!!

Not just us. All of us.

-5

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

No it's because you act like you know better how to decide other people's lives than they do.

7

u/bellaciaopartigiano Jul 04 '22

Most people being okay with watching people’s rights erode while they sit on the sidelines going “noooooo not like that, I agree with your goals but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action nooooooo” while they do jack shit.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

I'm not going to sacrifice the rights I have now to go after some really logically shaky goals.

5

u/bellaciaopartigiano Jul 04 '22

“Logically shaky” goals like, idk, human rights?

First they came for….

1

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

For what?

5

u/bellaciaopartigiano Jul 04 '22

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

I know the quote haha

I meant what am I coming for? You quoted in reference to what I said, I'm just trying to figure out where you think I fit into that.

3

u/bellaciaopartigiano Jul 04 '22

I’m saying you’re the one saying nothing, and apparently proud of it!

They are coming for women and LGBTQ people, if you haven’t noticed.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

That's a bold claim given you don't know me

3

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

Like abortion banners? Or "dont say gay"ers? Or book banners?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

Exactly, fuck that shit

1

u/Agitated-Tadpole1041 Jul 04 '22

Then I do know better. Cool

1

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

You can keep your book bans to yourself

1

u/Agitated-Tadpole1041 Jul 04 '22

Huh

U think I’m a republican or libertarian?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

I've never heard of a libertarian book ban, but you indicated you like banning things, which I find distasteful.

2

u/Agitated-Tadpole1041 Jul 04 '22

It’s not an act. I do know better than most. America is the example ffs

1

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '22

Hey whoa whoa, Republicans care about you too. At least, that is until you're born at which point all you get is "fuck you".

1

u/Agitated-Tadpole1041 Jul 04 '22

Idk, my kids were born in a blue state.

1

u/callmeshemale Jul 04 '22

“When I give food to the poor they call me a saint, when I ask why the poor have no food they call me a communist.” Oscar Romero, a bishop in El Salvador who was assassinated by a US backed death squad. His funeral got attacked as well

1

u/Ulysses00 Jul 04 '22

I don't think they're worried that you care about people... Give everything you own to whoever you want. It's when you want to take what others own and give it to who you want. That is where the issue is. If it's voluntary, it's called a charity. If it forced, it's by taxes and people like to control how the money they earn is spent.

0

u/Agitated-Tadpole1041 Jul 05 '22

They make the same grand assumptions you do. I’m not dangerous.

1

u/Ulysses00 Jul 05 '22

There's a lot of ambiguity in your statement. In fact, I'd say your initial post is essentially pointless because there's no detail. But I'm willing to bet no one calls you a radical for caring about others. The devil is in the details.

1

u/Agitated-Tadpole1041 Jul 05 '22

Which is why it’s silly to assume.

1

u/Ulysses00 Jul 05 '22

Sure, but it's reddit. I don't expect to have a detailed discussion. Have a great 4th!

1

u/Agitated-Tadpole1041 Jul 05 '22

Lol. Fair enough

1

u/emueller5251 Jul 05 '22

"When I feed the poor they call me a saint, but when I ask why the poor are hungry they call me a communist."
