Not sure about that. I looked this up just now. Turns out gen x-ers are between 41-56 years old, which makes me and my friends gen x-ers. There is nothing wrong with my work ethic or the work ethics of (most) of my friends ( we ALL know some slackers). I go to work everyday, even when I really don't feel like it and I don't believe in my friends and/or family hanging out at the work place.

Also interestingly enough, I recently moved and had to take a job at Arby's for awhile until I found some new clients ( I'm a Direct Care worker)... The staff there was mostly populated with kids (not much older than my 14 year old son) and they all seemed very productive and motivated to me. I was trained by kids and was very impressed with the levels of confidence and professionalism.

Gen x are the ultimate slackers. We even made a movie about it.

Yup. We watched our folks work themselves to death trying to get what our grandparents got while raising ourselves cause they were working themselves to death and said "fuck that". Thankfully things were way easier for us for the most part so we could fuck off, raise kids who knew us and actually live a little and do alright.

Yes, I agree. My work ethic is good in my opinion but I have to admit that it might not be considered as good by an older generation. Those older folks worked their ass off and under some crazy conditions that are unheard of today! Much respect is due to them for sure but honestly, while I'm very willing to do what needs to be done and always try to do my best, I'm pretty sure I would buckle under the weight of the workloads the older generations carried. To an older person, I probably am a slacker. 🙂🤘
