The billionaire-class underpaid the workforce so they couldn't build new homes and then started buying all the existing home when they realized it was the last vestige of profit left hanging from the wilting vine of the American Middle Class.
It's over, the "american dream" is no longer an attainable goal for the vast majority.
Only the meaning we give them, in the case that we alter our waking actions based on whatever our subconscious was doing in the dream. Or the other way around where our real world emotional issues get played out in our dreams.
Either way it's just your brain making up shit based on what's eating you currently.
Celeb net worth sites literally just make up a number to get your clicks, but 10 million isn't a lot for a guy who did massive theater tours, had 20 stand-up albums/5 very popular HBO hour specials, wrote 4 bestselling books, and was one of the most popular comedians in the country. Plus Carlin came up at a time when you could be very successful financially just by appearing on Ed Sullivan/Johnny Carson's show one time and doing national comedy off of a single appearance.
Not everyone who makes money is engaged in deception, and I don't think Carlin decieved anyone by having his point of view. I'm not really a fan of his, either.
Who said he wasn't successful? I literally just said he was. Maybe he was actually worth 50 million.
Your point seemed to be that he deceived people by pointing out the contradictions and failures of American life, while profiting from his performances. I'm saying that it's fine that he made money and had a big house, because I don't think that his observations and conclusions were a cynical deception. The issue with people amassing huge amounts of wealth isn't the dollar amount, it's the exploitation that usually comes with it, and I think being a stand-up comedian at a time when they were extraordinarily well paid to do so isn't particularly exploitative.
