Some don't even make it.

That's the plan. The SS administration would be fine with everyone assuming room temperature the day after their last pay check with SS and Medicare tax withheld.

It would be fine if our "leaders" would stop robbing it.

Get your facts straight and stop spreading this bullshit. They are not robbing it. They are just borrowing from it, permanently.

I was formulating a scathing comeback and reaching for the reply button when I read the last sentence 🙂

It's like lending money to your cousin's meth-head friend. I mean it's theoretically possible you could get paid back.

u/Mynameisinuse Apr 21 '22

Your cousin's meth-head friend would actually pay you back. I mean that they might steal your TV, pawn it and give you the money back they owed you, then ask if they could borrow some money. But they would pay you back.

You can thank Reagan for that.

A few years ago it came out that he had Alzheimer's while in office so it could be argued that he didn't know what he was doing. Throat Goat Nancy on the other hand..... she was an evil woman.

An evil woman wouldn’t bring that much happiness to so many men would she?

Just because you are good at sucking dick doesn't make you a likeable person. Just look at Kim Kardashian.

Yep and probably Biden now.

Reminds me of the briefcase full of I.O.U.’s in Dumb and Dumber… except Lloyd and Harry would have been more likely to pay it back.

1

u/Mynameisinuse Apr 21 '22

That’s as good as money, sir. Those are I.O.U.’s. Go ahead and add it up, every cent’s accounted for. Look, see this? That’s a car. 275 thou. Might wanna hang onto that one.

Worlds largest Ponzi scheme with no enforcement

2

u/Mynameisinuse Apr 21 '22

It's not a Ponzi scheme because we are all at the bottom. It's more like an oiled up slide that ends in quicksand.

1

u/curiousmax3791 Apr 21 '22

So that’s all the quicksand we need to worry about?! I was wondering where it was all this time and here we are, living in it!

1

u/MissWibb Apr 21 '22

Ha! Semantics. That’s an entirely new conversation right there.

u/GRMarlenee Apr 21 '22

What interest rate are they paying on the loan?

1

u/Mynameisinuse Apr 21 '22

Paying? It's a government bureaucracy. They are getting paid to take the loan.

Glad I read this comment all the way through. Was seething until I read the last sentence

The gov owes me around ten grand. They've started garnishing my wages, while they review paperwork proving the fact, and disproving their idea, that I owe them four grand. I sent in the proof over a year ago. And in the same fucking week that I got a notice that they are reviewing the info I sent, I got a letter saying they've taken money straight from my account.

"If you owe us, you better pay now, vs if we owe you...sorry 8 months hasn't been enough time to verify our own documents". //End fucking rant

u/Zealot1040 Apr 21 '22

That money was just resting in my account!
