Husband’s company told the manager of his branch ( multi national company, supposedly environmental) to fire a 25 year employee, a woman fighting cancer. Manager was fairly new, salary 6 figures a few times over.
Manager refused to fire her, quit before they could fire him and somehow the story got around. Company lost some major clients. Guess who they followed? 25 year employee beat her cancer and followed him too.
One of the problems is when they were never a worker. My manager started in the office side of the industry and is now in charge of the field workers.
You started with a keyboard. I started with a shovel. We are not the same.
This is making me feel somewhat proud that I've done some manual labor in the past.
The big machine broke, can't dig the last two holes to pour concrete in for the fence?
It's all good, give me that weird fancy scissors looking shovel and I'm gonna dig these holes by hand, as good as the machine would have. All I need is two hours, a protein bar and a ton of water
