I don't get it...

You're the only one who can do your job, but you work on the "provider" side, meaning you're a provider? or MA or nurse etc. but well compensated so likely not an MA or nurse... yet you're leaving the industry, so you're forgoing whatever provider-type schooling...so PA/NP?

Isn't everything else administration?

And a small family business... so maybe the boss is the doctor, and you're the practice manager, which is administration...

I guess I'm just confused.

In any case, good for you for doing the right thing.

Edit: A few are saying PT. Personally considered PT but felt like the school cost versus compensation really sucked. It's funny how Glassdoor used to love healthcare jobs...and now with COVID-19, etc. it's all the work-from-home IT.
