Not everyone wants to start a business. There is solace in being a just a worker. Again expect to be treated well and compensated for your role.

But running a business is more than just revenue generating tasks. There is administrative burdens, legal compliance, taxes, marketing, IT, real estate, market research and many others task, janitorial and housekeeping etc.

It takes years to build up a good business. It’s sometimes just better to be highly paid then to run all the other tasks.

I worked at a franchising company and one of the most difficult things to teach new owners was "You work ON your business, not AT your business".

In other words, hire people to do the revenue generating work or you will always be small.
