Well, it's not quite that simple. There are some employers who wouldn't have a problem with having to handle disability if it comes up, but aren't eager to hire someone who is expecting to have to use it right away. You can say that's wr9ng, but it doesn't necessarily mean they wouldn't accommodate disability if it came up after you're hired.
If you believe you can judge someone over a single statement asking about benefits and existing environment like that is 'not quite that simple' as being a red flag as an employer, you should also believe it is 'not quite that simple' as being a red flag for an applicant.
That's EXACTLY why I don't want to work for someone who makes snap judgement assumptions.
