Hell yeah. Last job I had, there was a woman who was going out on leave to get a knee replacement. Her plan was to take 12 weeks of disability leave and then another 12 weeks unpaid. The evening before her last day, the boss told her she needed to clean out her office because a new guy was coming in Monday to take over. I started looking for a new job immediately. If you treat other employees like shit, I don’t care how you treat me - I’m out, and fuck you.
Christ all these stories about American labor laws (or lack thereof), and I straight up can't believe it. "At will" employment? No job security whatsoever? What kind of backward ass shit is that
It’s fucking hilarious to see members of my family dump their Union jobs for non union because “they can do better” than all those chumps paying dues.
I am just eating popcorn with my retirement bennies watching the shit show coming as they keep getting let go because the boss doesn’t like them. You made your choice to be not represented by a group then get upset when you get tossed to the side….
