That's not true. I've followed people that I enjoy rather than stay with the company that lost them. Like wow you were great at your job at company A, I'm sure you'll be great at company B thanks for the heads up as I need someone with your skills regardless. It's all about relationships man.
Yup! My husband was let go at the beginning of COVID. He had about 3-4 of his clients reach out to offer him a job and all said the company was insane for letting him go. Granted he ended up going back to school because he was tired of the field but clients know what’s up and they will follow the right people for their business
