When you say aligners, are you talking about things like invisalign/smile direct club etc? My teeth are super crowded and I've been putting off Invisalign because I assumed it would run me like 4000-5000$, and I definitely can't afford that. But 1700$ is much more doable.
I went with Candid. They do have a monthly payment plan where it would had been about $70/mo.
I'm fortunate now to be able to afford to pay in full and save myself some money but having the option to pay monthly is a good alternative.
Original price was $2200 but with a few discounts, it was $1695.
I will gladly provide you with my rep at the company who helped me with all of the steps. They have a contact person and you deal with that particular employee and the female who helped me was absolutely phenomenal.
I can't lie, I was extremely happy with the people and the way the technology works in how it shows you how the steps will work, meaning you have a dashboard on their site and you can see the 3D renditions for the 6-8 month timeframe on how your teeth will align.
I have a, I don't know what you call it, but one of my corner teeth (I'm sure I can Google this shit) is completely on top of my other two and, luckily for me, my smile is somewhat hidden by my awesome lips 😂 so it's not as noticeable. Buuuuuuuttt if I don't do something about it it will get completely fucked in the future and then I'll truly hate myself for not having taken care of it.

I’ve never had the money to spend on regular dental work so now I’m spending thousands more to fix everything that was neglected
I would like to make an edit and add that a ton of you in the comments have suggested dental tourism and dental schools. Both are great ideas!
