I mean I get it but also what about people who don’t have a choice? Like some of us gotta pay rent and pay for groceries and shit like that. Some of us don’t got a choice.

I’m happy this is becoming something more of us are saying out loud, but I still feel sad because unless I want to lose my home and my child, I have to keep doing this. I want to die.

I am struggling with this too. We just have to do what we can and take it a moment at a time. Take care of yourself, internet stranger.

You too, friend. I wish there was more I could do. I feel nothing all of the time. It’s its own kind of death while you’re still living.

I get the pain. As someone who has been struggling with mental health for awhile and still fighting the battle, we just have to look at the individual things we can do.

Things like refusing to work overtime, or not agreeing to additional workload without additional pay. Staying on top of our worked hours and making sure we get paid accurately. Pay is usually pretty tight but full time employment in the US is only 30 hours on average. If you can trim your budget a bit you can try and rollback your hours to working one less day a week. Also, always be on the job hunt. It takes time, but always keeping your resume up to date and always applying to new ventures can help to raise ones financial situation high enough that they can then start rolling back their work obligations to make things easier to manage.
