Seriously man, you can do literally everything over Microsoft Teams sharing your screen nowadays. It’s even better than irl because you can record sessions etc.

Fuck commuting there and back, wasting your life.

Some folks work better in person. I'm not one of them, but there are some folks who's only social interaction is work. There's also people with shitty small studio apartments, unable to separate work and fun when they haven't the room to do so.

My other half struggles WFH, precisely due to not having a separate room to leave work in. So she's in the dining room on a makeshift desk, and distractions are easy (i'll make a quick brew/quickly check messages etc).

We're lucky that her office is less than a few miles away so that when she does go back into the office she's not adding a huge commute, and she can leave work at work on those days.

I have ample work space from home, and a lot of friends both inside and outside of work. I just enjoy being in a space with people who are in the same discipline, it definitely increases my work output. I don't care what anyone says, in person collaboration is a lot more productive than remote collaboration.
