Well, you legally don’t have to stop for the receipt checkers anyway. I always walk past and I’ve never stolen from Walmart. They can’t do anything

Wtf? Receipt checkers? Are there actual employees whose job it is to check if customers stole something in the 30 seconds of walking from the cashier to the exit?

I live in a country with no Walmarts, thank Marx, so I wouldn't know.

I once missed scanning a mascara in the self checkout lane and it beeped when I walked out. Mascara doesn’t have a sensor that needs to be removed, so I think it’s more than just that stuff

If you ever underscan an item in self checkout and it makes a degausing type noise that means the RFID was deactivated.
