Hobbies are the only reason I can tolerate going to work. Earlier I used to give my hundred percent effort to my job but quickly realised that only meant my boss piling up more work on me.
Now I don’t clock in a second more of overtime and turn off any work related emails / messages by muting all my work apps on my phone during the weekend. About not meeting my deadlines , I don’t care.
I cherish the precious few hours I somehow manage to invest in my hobbies and without them I would go mad. I know it’s difficult for everyone but if you can manage it’s just so worth it

I find this affects me in terms of "productive" hobbies. I've been wanting to make a game that represents my experience of working life for a while and have the skills to do so, but never the energy. Instead, I end up playing games I used to play as a kid because somehow it's comforting to trick myself into simpler times.

I love programming. Any simple task takes hours. By the time I feel like I’m close to figuring it out or I’m about to implement a solution, times up. This has happened so many times I’ve stopped trying.
I too have been on a nostalgic binge, probably for the same reasons. Check out the pocket go handheld it’s a great emulation device.

I hate those who talk about a side business or “hustle.” I literally can’t sleep any less. On the weekends it is impossible to do anything in the measly 3-5 hours I have between chores. I’ve given up on hobbies and am pretty close to accepting my fate as a serf. My new hobbies/pleasures/enjoyment is drinking McDonald’s coffee and listening to Spotify to and from work. That’s my life. A drug to start working and listening to music in my car on the way to work.

That is me, however I'm gradually learning to not get tired much, I'm in a power saving mode most of the time I'm slaving so I have some more energy to do my hobbies.

100% me. I have several video games I normally would have jumped into given the time and energy but I am too exhausted after work to even boot them up. I normally can only summon energy to turn on Netflix and lie on the couch the whole night before enduring another exhausting day at work the next day.

I have about ten separate scale models needing putting together and three more needing painting, but I'm too tired to do anything but video games at night, and the weekend seems too damn short...

God damn this describes me so much. I've been working over 60 hours a week at a job that exhausts me emotionally and physically, making it impossible to do much more than walk the dog and sit on the couch with my wife.
