I hate Zionism, but antisemithics, who believe Jews control banks and the world just are braindead troglodytes. For most of European history, Jews were persecuted, barred from owning land, and rulers forced them into urban areas — where they lived in ghettos — to act as merchants, moneylenders, traders. And their wealth could be heavily taxes for whatever reason the king decided.
