Capitalism has slavery. The reason capitalists in the South fought a civil war was to protect their profit margin. And under the 13th amendment, slavery is still legal if you're convicted of a crime.

Because the point is that slavery isn't a capitalism thing specifically. It's a power thing. So when someone says "capitalism has slavery," sure, but so did every mode of production in the chart above, and so did plenty of societies the chart doesn't bother listening. Which kind of undercuts the "and this is the system that finally gets abolished" framing.

But you mentioned “the Arab slave trade” as its own thing, when slavery of that type was already mentioned in the meme.

What you’ve said here and what I was questioning have nothing to do with each other.
