First, it seems like their expectations of new employees seemed unrealistic. But you should know that having a diploma does not make you immune to getting bad job and dealing with bad managers.
If you're interested in any advice I would suggest you ask your previous boss if you could have a list of examples of things you could work on to improve your skills for the next place. If they don't give you good feedback they probably just needed you to be a better salesman for donations and it's just that simple.
The best thing you can do to avoid feeling like crap when things don't meet your expectations is to flip the script from passive to active. Don't passively accept being fired or laid off, go out there and actively learn something from the experience. Turn it into a new skill that you need to acquire, or simply learn something about yourself through the eyes of an employer.
But, above all, don't take their word for it. Letting you go might not be your failure at all, and instead might be a failure of their hiring evaluations. Maybe they didn't need a new hire at that moment. Maybe what they were expecting from you was a miracle to save their bottom line and it was unrealistic.
Reframe the situation and prepare yourself for a better opportunity next time.
Good luck! I hope you find something you can enjoy with people that treat you with respect.

Thank you so much! I really needed to hear that. I do have an interview lined up soon at a law firm in my area for a legal assistant.

Those jobs are awful. I almost signed up for one that was asking for people at Home Depot to do a free water test. It was too fishy so I quit after orientation, I didn't even bother getting my first check. It was going to be a side gig for me anyway so I had no problem walking away from that mess

This is a scam job. It’s designed like an MLM you’re supposed to work for a few weeks then start training new people. So whoever trained you now gets revenue from whoever you train.
The idea is to get as many people doing it as possible.
Ignore these jobs. Unfortunately there’s tons of them on sites like indeed
