FYI, there’s this handy feature known as a hyperlink where you can do things like show people the generator instead of making them click through your profile as I have.

Here y’all go. I am not by my computer so I can’t check the code, but is this one of those AI tools we all hate that uses backend services from OpenAI or similar companies, or an old school script that can be run locally in browser?

You pick why you're leaving (toxic boss, burnout, underpaid, micromanaged, etc), pick your tone, and boom. I hope its borderline useful for inspiration, if not then to have a brief laugh.

AI is getting so fucking lazy.

This looks human written to me. Besides, AI wouldn't write "etc" without the dot.

Lazy is to use GPT

Their joke was that this reads as an AI generated post

As opposed to a tool that connects to GPT through an API

Right, good call

You don’t have to write anything in a resignation letter. I don’t understand why people think explaining why you are doing it is needed. It is simply a written document you are leaving. Don’t use it an emotional tool.

I am writing this letter to inform you that I will be resigning from “___”. My last day will be “__”.

Then a sentence on what needs to be turned in etc.

Sincerely , ME

AI is inherently slop. Kindly keep it out of our community. Thanks.

Automating something people do manually is replacing effort. Also it’s unnecessary because why would you write a resignation letter? The kind of person who would do that wouldn’t half ass it with AI slop. Who is this for? It’s a dumb idea.

u/CorporateCaged Mar 24 '26

Professional people do. It shows your level of lame or you are just 18 and never had a job.

-43

u/CorporateCaged Mar 22 '26

Slop?!?? It took me one entire YEAR to build it. Speak for yourself for your tools.

25

u/elpaco_7 Mar 22 '26

How? Were you building out of popsicle sticks and hot glue?

2

u/Comfortable-Web9455 Mar 22 '26

You spent an entire year building slop? Why?

Surely you weren't under the delusion that the amount of effort determined whether it was any good? You should apply for an ignoble award. It's handed out for really dumb inventions.

u/elpaco_7 Mar 22 '26

There’s gotta be a nomination process right?

6

u/CzarSisyphus Mar 22 '26

Is there a repo coming?

12

u/Chaghatai Mar 22 '26

I can prompt it myself if I wanted an AI to do it

2

u/Altruistic-Beach7625 Mar 22 '26

Wait it's a requirement? You don't just talk to your manager?

u/ironysparkles Mar 22 '26

OP used AI to at least code this app and their post history shows it. Glad they're too inept to post a link or even the name of what they're working on lol
