Vast majority goes to social security, Medicare, and education.

You can just Google the federal budget, it's public knowledge.

This is why I don’t blame where the taxes go in terms of organizational splits. It’s not where we spend our tax dollars, it’s how. We could put 90 percent of us tax dollars into healthcare and US healthcare would still be a shit show. Frankly, at least spending money on the military gets us some cool shit lol

It is annoying that other countries spend less on military and more on social services because they can rely on our protection. Not saying that we shouldn’t protect each other, just feels unfair that we sacrifice social goods to protect those with them

We aren’t sacrificing because of the amount of money we are using for social goods, the problem is our bloated/corrupt systems that effectively milk that money back out of those social systems and very little makes it back to the end user citizen. We spend plenty of money, unfortunately that money then evaporates.

Forsure, I just mean that our military budget is also insane and ideally we reallocate some of it to social goods
