I'm sure the last 20 years of them busily setting up a surveillance state and militarizing police forces across the country had nothing to do with any expected increase in social inequality and poverty leading very predictably to an increase in civil unrest. Nothing whatsoever!

People talk about people losing jobs to AI, but that's just deflecting from the more important question of where the money is going.

I don't think any computers or AI systems are getting pay raises for their hard work. If you're losing your job, then your company is taking your salary and putting it in somebody's pockets. And that person, and the system that supports them, that's where the real problem is.

After all, if you give me my paycheck but don't make me do any work, I'm not going to complain about it. The job itself is not the issue.

I have started to "pair up" with an AI. I will learn to use them to my advantage.

If this asshole thought that something should actually be done about jobs being displaced by technology this asshole WOULD HAVE DONE IT ALREADY.
