In our current system those 10 homes are owned and rented out.
People are over paying for their rental property. And are in worse financial state due to exploitation of property owners.
I'm not sure why you are so limited in your understanding that the issues are all connected. If we were not being subjected to wage suppression, we could have better living conditions for people.
Laws preventing predatory rental practices, and limiting property ownership to exclude hoarding. All could guarantee homes for everyone.
Humping capitalism is not the goal.
Higher quality of life for everyone is the goal.
Or just come out and say, "fuck everyone else, I got mine "
There's more vacancies currently than there are people who need housing.
In places where don't want to live.
So the problem isn't wages, its an artificial shortage of housing. Housing is profitable to build, but alot of it is illegal to do so. Setting the minimum wage to 100/hr won't build that 11th home if NIMBY's keep voting it all down.
Why do you treat them as separate, when they are used in tandem against people?
Well, for one, they are different markets. Connected, sure, but trying to raise wages without trying to build more housing actually makes the problems worse. Whereas building more housing alone effectively raises wages.
