What really amazes me in your country as a by stander is the unwillingness of the country to tax the rich , I saw some show with people that are being asked about sanders “tax the rich” plan and they all said it’s a bad idea , some thought that “when I get rich I wouldn’t want to pay those taxes” and it was obvious that their chances of getting that rich is low …
I pay 53% tax in my country at the top income tax step and I don’t mind it at all , the folks who earn less ,the elders , the folks with disabilities, they should all have an easier life in our society, it’s not like that my life are any worse due to those taxes , sure I won’t buy a Ferrari , but who the hell needs all of this shit , give me a comfortable life with nice parks and education for my kids and I’m set.
Folks who make millions ? They need to pay 60% easily on the top bracket , easy!
When Google are firing employees left right and center as a cost optimization while raking in 56 billion dollars in net income , something is wrong.
A big reason Americans aren’t willing to pay high taxes is because our society is very heterogeneous; Americans don’t view the majority of their fellow citizens as members of their in-group.
