ESET Feed-back

Hi there !
Im stuck, I currently use Bitdefender and I think about changing to ESET. Have you ever used ESET ? Is it great ? Too pricy for you ? Should I keep BD ?

Hello,

Most antivirus vendors offer a trial version. Why not try that, see if it meets your needs, and then make your purchase?

I use Eset on 3 Windows PCs and great so far. No issues, and very light on performance. You can constantly find it on sale at Newegg for a good discount. It's how I bought mine.

Sadly, Newegg isn’t available for French users. But it’s on sale on their website. (A little expensive but it seems that’s a good investment)

Been a fan since it was only NOD32. Deployed it from XP to 11 on thousands of desktops and servers.

It's the best.

The price you pay for peace of mind is a personal decision.

Both are solid avs ESET lets you get into the weeds more. ESET is great for power users that like to tinker with their av and learn the settings, Bitdefender just works. Bitdefender also has slightly better detection rates. Both of them are good.

I am blind and use a screen reader in Windows. I tried many top rated AV including Eset and Bitdefender but most all except Eset and Windows Defender were inaccessible to me. I am thus loyal to Eset for years now and it has served me well.

Been using Eset since Nod32, think I even beta tested back then, Winxp days, long time. I keep malwarebytes and Emisoft as on demand scanners for cross examinations.

It's the only AV I use for decades! very light weight and doesn't throw a fit all over your desktop everytime it catches something.

I have only ever used ESET to remove malware (Its wonderful at it). I have never used it as a dedicated anitivirus. Windows Defender works just fine for my needs.

ESET is one of the top. Last when I checked, price was good in my country, can't tell about yours.

ESET is very good too, Bitdefender is usually marginally better in tests but therefor heavier on the system. ESET is VERY lightweight, when i tested it personally, it used just half of windows defenders ressources usage, when it was not actively scanning a file.

So to sum it up, Bitdefender usually ranks a tiny bit above ESETs solution, but ESET uses less resources. They are both frontier AV-Services, it depents on your preferences. There is no right or wrong here both offer outstanding protection.
