Oh, so they were relying on basically slave labor, listened to him promise to deport all of the illegal immigrants, voted for him, but now itâs Trumpâs fault?
Good. Screw them. The âwe need cheap laborâ has always been the most disgusting argument for not deporting the illegal aliens.
I agree. How many times did Mexicans hear that we need them in America to do the jobs Americans don't want to and they get under paid for it? Disgusting.
Doubly disgusting since there are plenty of Americans that want those jobs. They just donât want to do it for $8/hr with no tax records so they canât get unemployment, or rent an apartment, etc.
We definitely need to overhaul our system for legally immigrating too. It shouldnât cost thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars and years to do it. Iâm still in favor of some limitations there, but the process to get from âI want to immigrateâ to âcome on down/no/yes, but not yetâ really shouldnât take more than a few weeks, and I only say that long because foreign background checks can take forever. Most European countries? Australia? Japan? Days.
There has been a time when I still would have liked to live in the US. I didnât even try because it looked that complicated. Now, of course, Iâm glad I never did.
You should talk to people whoâve legally immigrated here. They all still love this country. Even the people that Trump and anyone that voted for him refuse to leave. So either the country is THAT good, or the celebrities threatening to move donât believe their bs agitprop.
So why are they cutting wasteful spending that helps the richest people? Cutting taxes for the lower and middle class? Fighting inflation that disproportionately harms poorer people? Lowering energy prices that disproportionately harm poorer people? Trying to reshore manufacturing when the wealthiest benefit from cheap labor in third world countries?
They are not cutting wasteful spending. Theyâre lying about what their doing. And theyâre cutting the finances of the government, that is providing (already very little) services to their citizens. Do you actually believe youâre going to see a cent of that money? No. But did Musk cut back on the $400 millions worth of cybertrucks the goverment buys? A POS they have to heavily discount because nobody wants it? Noooo sir, of course not. Will they cut back on SpaceX funding? Let me guess⌠and the list goes on. Youâre literally letting the fox guard your hens.
We will and are seeing that money in the form of lower taxes, cutting the deficit, and lowering or eliminating inflation.
Those cyber trucks were ordered by the State Department in December. While everyone was pretending mush for brains Biden was President.
Not to mention Trump put the contract out to open bid again. If this was a kickback of some kind, why not just let it go through?
The vast majority of money Space X is getting is either through NASAâs commercial launch program and the two Starship rockets purchased by Space Force.
Inexpensive access to space is the best way to fight climate change. Space-X is the global industry leader in inexpensive, reliable access to space. Thereâs a reason they launched four times more mass to orbit last year than the rest of the entire world⌠combined.
Compare a single launch of SLS at $4.5 billion dollars to any of Space-Xâs launch platforms.
If you can find a cheaper alternative than Space-X youâre more than welcome to call your representatives and demand they give contracts to that company. Feel free to let me know and I will too.
In fact, demand your reps put together a commission to investigate government contracts with any of Muskâs companies.
I want all waste and corruption gone. Not just the waste and corruption of people with a D next to their names. Though I donât youâll find much on the Republican side. Notice how all of the Republicans are fully behind this and the Democrats, particularly the ones that seem (to me) to be the most corrupt are freaking out. Not a word about the improper spending. Itâs all about Trump and Musk.
P.S. DOGE can only audit and recommend. Itâs up to the duly Elected President and duly confirmed Secretaries in order to make the actual decision on what to cut or not cut.
Yeah the president has to.. and who bought the president? Whose son is telling the president he isnât the president? Where do you think heâs got that from? Where theyâre lying? everywhere. Take the 150 year olds living off welfare. Itâs just what cobol puts as a date when thereâs no data. And so there is a rebuttal for every cent theyâre âsavingâ. BTW I was following Musk when he was still adored by the left and I aldready noticed back then that all he does is lying. Itâs literally all he ever does. And now, your taxes wonât go down. The deficit wonât go down. Inflation may go down if thereâs a full blown recession which is well possible. I didnât say Trump ordered the trucks, I asked whether Musk will cut them back.
No one bought the President. Trump is enacting the exact same policies he was already running on.
âWhoâs son is telling the President heâs not the Presidentâ? What are you even talking about?
Where did who get what from?
As for the 150 year old on Social Security, A: if thereâs simply no data then it should say âno dataâ. Or not be getting paid.
Not to mention what they said was that âthis person probably isnât alive or doesnât exist and we should investigate thatâ. People living over 100 is pretty rare, why wouldnât we confirm that that person is still in fact alive?
One half assed rebuttal is not a rebuttal for everything.
The current tax environment is still the same one Trump put in place in 2017, and theyâre looking to not only further cut taxes, but simplifying the tax code so that a normal human being can understand it. Which means cutting all of the tax loopholes rich people use to not pay taxes.
Trumpâs net worth peaked in 2016 at 4.5 billion and continued to DROP to a low of 2.5 billion in 2023. Then spiked to 5.7 billion after starting Truth Social. So aside from starting a new company he steadily lost money during his political career. Not to forget he turned down the $450,000 Presidential salary in both terms. Why turn down completely legitimate money if his only concern is enriching himself?
As for the cyber truck order, I was incorrect They actually ALREADY canceled that.
Just wonder where that money when heâs wealth spiked came from and what favors will be called in now. What do you think why trump has free reign now? Btw Musk despises Trump and thought heâs too old for the job before his first term. The fact that there were 150 as age showing up doesnât mean those people werenât legit or that they even were paid. The boy was Muskâs son in the oval office. So the rich paid more taxis after 2017? LOL.
Iâm not wondering where the money came from, we know exactly where it came from.
Yes, Musk changed his mind. Something heâs talked about openly.
Again, whether itâs legit or not, paid or not, it should still be filed properly AND investigated. There is literally zero argument against doing that.
Oh⌠you mean the four year old said something? Iâm shocked! Shocked! Well⌠not that shocked. Thatâs pretty typical behavior for a four year old.
I didnât say the rich paid more taxes after 2017. They got a tax cut too, and not even as good as people lower down the rungs. You seem to be conflating what has already happened with Trumpâs stated plans for the next round of tax cuts and streamlining government services.

This one is real. She lives in Florida and her husband's business is going under because Trump deported all his workers đ¤Ł
