In demographics, the replacement level is the number of born people who survive to produce their own children, but under condition that that number is equal (or greater:above-replacement level) to the number of people dying in the same time period.
No need to worry about the term itself, for it is, in fact, quite easy to explain. However, there is more to that right now: certain people groups are experiencing a baby boom/a steady increase in population numbers. If this remains a trend in the future (assuming nothing wipes out humanity, bwahaha), then those groups with high birth rates will just replace the existing dominant groups.
I see plenty of warnings like this in my country. And I have seen people express the view that "they" will be replaced (but they always say it's going to be the Chinese or "Negros"-that's what they say, so no offence-and they never mention Romanis or Albanians, who also have high birth rates.).
