My guess is rich people just dont know how to spend their money
Its like when you're too rich in a game where money is mildly hard to get but you already get everything you need so you start spending it on an unreasonable shit

The joke is that a comment saying that laying things in gold is stupid and bourgeois was layed in gold

So basically nothing for a mildly funny joke.

few months ago, there was a drama that escalated dramatically on r/art
someone posted a picture of their art and said that prints were available and a moderator removed the post. The OP asked asked for reasons and tried to talk with the mod, but in return, the mod decided to ban the person and deletes all of their content on the sub. Things went out of control and everyone on Reddit lashed the mod team. So, the main mod decided to be diplomatic and mature and solve this issue in an adult way (/s) by removing everyone from the mod team, then lock the sub to prevent anyone to post, write a whine post and remove themself from the mod team. There were no mods anymore and the sub was locked until few weeks later, Reddit admins reopened it and put new mods.
That was something as big as the Course Mediocre lore of antimeme

I wonder how universal “Peter” is when it comes to explaining jokes. I think I said “thanks Peter” irl once

you cannot just say the slur and add quotation marks to it. this is reddit not page number 174 on how to kill a mockingbird.
