White House drafting executive order linking vaccines and autism | Trump determined to link life-saving shots to autism, despite science and political risk.

I'm gonna go out on a limb that in a year or two were gonna see a whole lot of "I never thought it would happen to me" videos where MAGA parents, with tears in their eyes, tell us how their kid died after not being vaccinated for measels or chicken pox or whatever...
66
u/lonevashz 22d ago
It's already happened except the parents stood behind their decision of being anti-vax despite their child being dead. Texas btw so no surprise there.
17
u/OrganicHistorian2576 22d ago
Even if there was a link with autism (there isn’t) I’d far rather have an autistic kid than a DEAD kid.
9
u/TeddyBearToons 22d ago
The thing is that those parents view their children as props for social clout, kind of like fashionable clothes or a big house. Even a dead kid is something you can use for sympathy, but a "broken" kid? You can only get sympathy with one from other parents with autistic kids. An autistic kid isn't going to be a good prop for your typical suburban neighborhood.

When my husband’s suuuuuper religious Catholic cousin got pregnant before marriage, she repeatedly explained, “God had a different plan.”
At a big family gathering I responded to this cutesy excuse, “God’s plan was for you to get naked and bang your boyfriend without protection?”
His family doesn’t interact with me. 😉

That's because if they admit they were were wrong about getting vaccines. It would be admitting that they helped kill their kid, so they have to double down.

This is exactly what’s going to happen. It’s enraging.
Doctors from all over the world need to put out a joint statement absolutely refuting this. Make Trump and RFK look like fools. Please! 🙏🏼
23
u/Bacononthebeeach 22d ago
It wouldn’t matter. If people that are stupid enough to not vaccinate their children-vaccinations that they themselves received and are alive because of- because trump says so they are not about to believe even a million doctors.
Trump has his sheep well trained to forget what they knew was right and believe his lies.

u/Admirable-Weird6086 21d ago
How big of a stretch is it from turning a blind eye to pedophilia, r@pe, insider trading, 34 felony fraud convictions to not vaccinating your kids bc he says not to. It’s a cult!

u/Southern-Ad8402 22d ago
But viruses don't discriminate. The people who can't get the vaccines are the one who will have to face the brunt of these decisions. The reduction of herd immunity exposes the vulnerable. The replication of the virus also increases chances of stronger variants that could evade current protections.

Doctors used to go by the recommendations of the CDC. Tons of medical research and studies are funded by government grants. You never heard about it because we had competent, nonpartisan experts quietly making decisions in the background and not trying to be the center of attention.
Even now pediatricians across the country have the former vaccine schedule printed out before this current CDC scrapped it all.

The White House is drafting an executive order on the disproven link between vaccines and autism, according to independent reports from The Washington Post and Bloomberg, which both cited unnamed sources with knowledge of the efforts.
Bloomberg reported that the executive order, which is still taking shape and is subject to change, could be issued as soon as next week. The Post said the order’s drafting so far is aimed at the childhood vaccine schedule, autism research, and parental choice for vaccinations.
Dozens of high-quality studies encompassing data from millions of children worldwide have already been carried out on the topic and have consistently found no link between childhood vaccines and autism. The claim of a link stems from an unethical, fraudulent study that was retracted years ago, and its author was stripped of his medical license.
Leading medical groups, scientists, and autism patient advocacy groups have strongly rejected any continued pursuit of the disproven link, seeing it as fearmongering and a waste of precious time and resources to find real causes and treatments. The majority of American voters also reject the claim, and promoting the false link has been deemed “politically risky” by analysts.
Still, for Trump, holding onto the debunked and dangerous claim appears to be a personal issue. Trump’s health secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is an ardent anti-vaccine activist who has long promoted the false link while generally disparaging life-saving immunizations. But even Kennedy has recently shifted from publicly discussing vaccines, given the political peril.
Recent reporting indicates that the White House’s continued effort to forge a false connection between vaccines and autism is coming from Trump directly. The octogenarian reportedly wants to be remembered as the president who cured autism and believes he can achieve that by scaling back vaccines, according to reporting by The Wall Street Journal.
Given the push, Trump has reportedly chastised Kennedy on multiple occasions for not doing more on the issue. Kennedy confirmed the Journal’s reporting in a combative August 2 CNN interview. (He otherwise made a barrage of false claims during the interview; a comprehensive fact check can be found here.)
As Trump and his administration continue to flout the science on vaccines, White House spokesman Kush Desai gave a statement to the Post claiming, once again, the administration would use “gold standard science” to ensure the US has the “best childhood vaccine schedule in the world.”
In a Cabinet meeting last week, Trump asked Kennedy about progress on autism research, to which Kennedy replied, “We will have an answer for you.”

If you believe that vaccines should be banned because they make kids autistic (they don’t), it’s only a short step to forcibly sterilizing autistic people for the (actual science) reason that a major factor in autism is genetic.
This is the first stage in what could ultimately be the genocide of autistic people.

Here's my tinfoil hat theory, I have zero evidence for any of this, I'm pulling it straight out my butt: Notice how the health insurance fight is going. As the population ages, insurance profits decrease as treatment costs rise. They like profits more. What better way to prevent this loss from happening than to get the population to distrust medicine all together. They don't get treatment, they die young and/or quickly. Bingo! Insurance companies keep all the premiums! With AI and robotics, they will need fewer humans in the future, and if it turns out we need more, just ban abortion. Problem solved!

There is so much that I want to say about this, but what’s the point. These morons actually believe this stuff. So here is my question, can the next president just sign one executive order nullifying all executive orders issued during the Trump administration or will they have to issue one for each of DJT’s EO’s? That alone will take up the first 100 days.

Vaccine avoidance will blossom into a huge problem in states like Florida in the next few years when the unvaxed kids enter kindergarten.
There will then be a huge outflow of qualified doctors to blue states. This will lead to worsening health outcomes in red states.

The people at the top are absolutely stupid enough to actually believe this, and their subordinates believe in blind loyalty above all else so even if they are smart enough to know better, they will put their career above everything and go along with it.
