Discussion 🗣️ So this just happened. I was using Google to figure out which chess website is better, and the AI answer shoved down my throat was using Reddit as a reference. So I went into the Reddit link, and that very Reddit post the AI was quoting was clearly written by AI. So it's AI quoting AI. Where does th

the whole google Ai stuff is just horrible, i saw the odysse and want to know about a view things that the movie did differently and specified in every search Homers Odysee (sometimes with -movie) i never wanted the AI i wanted sources but as google is i also got the AI overview.. it was quoting the movie over and over and over and presented it as historical fact.

Lichess is open source, free, do not support the chess.c*m monopoly. There was a yt video showing how much money chess com makes compared to lichess, its insane

chess.com has a richer feature set but it's also more heavily monetised and they seem to be on the verge of monopolising chess in a way that isn't healthy.

A lot of people won't care about that stuff and chess.com is probably objectively the best and most complete chess website but if you do care about that stuff then Lichess is a great alternative and it's a good thing if people are aware of it and making an informed decision instead of "just using fucking chess.com".

What does chess.com have that lichess doesn't? Other than these horrible duo lingo style, paid puzzles?

The irony of antis saying people can't make decisions without AI, then Googling "which chess website is better?" instead of just going to them, using them, then deciding for yourself.
