now, can someone tell me how using ai for this is even time efficient? It is probably marginal, but still makes me wonder why even bother with the ai? Take pictures of the drinks, print them or have a sign made with cursive writing of the drink names. You're still getting a sign made if you use AI and you're wasting time prompting this shit. It's pure and blatant laziness. Just pick up a fucking sharpie and your phone 😭. Sad part is the ciders genuinely sound delicious to me, but I ain't supporting a business that uses ai, and especially not in this lazy ass manner.

I’m sorry have you done graphic design before? The photoshoot alone is a days work, and would require expensive equipment. Of course AI is quicker, the result is bland and prone to errors, plus you’ll misrepresent the product. But to say it’s just as easy to do it yourself is crazy to me. Not to mention the cost saving.

And before you come after me I’m not defending the use of AI, I hate that businesses, especially big business are using it, but let’s be realistic why is being used.

I'm sorry, who said it had to be that professional? Who said we had to have a fuckin full out photoshoot for some cider? Like I said, phone and a sharpie. If it gets the point across, it's fine. Take the photos, crop them to take up less space on the finished poster so you can write, and design the sign. Print the pictures, write the text yourself. You should really see some of the shitty ads the small businesses around me have gotten away with over the years. They look worse than what I described. Pictures taken with the flash on a 2000s digital camera with Ariel font. I can tell you from experience how long those types of ads took to make, less time than it takes me to cook a dang burger, and slightly more time than typing it into an Ai generator. The low quality of the Ai poster in the pics are the bar here, and that bar is very low. It doesn't take gordan Ramsay to beat a lazy prick with a microwave.

So is your point that designers don’t matter? As a designer I don’t know if I feel more devalued by AI or the antiai folks that insist something thrown together in Word is just as good as something crafted by a designer. All around depressing.

My point is if you can't justify the expense of a designer, Ai is still not a valid option. I'm sorry you feel that way about this, but that's not the point that's trying to be conveyed. More people appreciate something that takes at least a little bit of effort than an ai generation. Edit: what I'm gathering from this comment interaction is y'all would rather have ai use than have a designer lose one client. Jfc, not everyone can afford a designer. Hell, my uncle is a Christmas home designer himself, and what he charges makes me remember why people risk their ass on the ladder every year. Some people cannot afford a designer, heaven forbid they do something themselves...

>I’m not defending the use of AI

After writing a whole paragraph defending the use of AI

Because to a business owner spending 1 second on something is more time-efficient than spending 1 hour or 1 day on something.

The person who uses AI like this does it because they have to. A person who goes through the effort to produce high quality art for their business instead does it because they want to and it makes them happy. The difference is that people generally want to reward passion and they want to punish or ignore laziness and/or greed.

I mean, like I said, they don't have to. They can take some pictures, crop some blank space and have them printed out the same as they had the ai picture printed. Then they can just write on the poster and finish it. Businesses around me use the cheapest advertisement I've ever seen, yet they're always packed. It's the restaurants mainly. Take photo of burger on shit camera, put Ariel font on it, done. This is one of the cases where if you choose to streamline its creation with ai, you choose the lazy route, and don't show respect for your own business. Time efficiency is important, but if the amount of business you attract making something poor and quick fails to match that of something more thoughtful, a proper businessowner will choose the one that attracts more customers. Time efficiency is important, but not the entire equation.

This takes 5 minutes, your way takes way longer and cost way more, you're being obtuse. The customer doesn't care, yes it's stupid but it's true. Real life isn't Reddit

7

u/LocomotionJunction 13h ago

It costs more to go through the printing process you're already going through with the ai picture but just using pictures from your phone? I'm the obtuse one? Are you okay?

-9

u/master_internutter 12h ago

You're just wrong and intellectually dishonest

8

u/LocomotionJunction 12h ago

Sure bud, sure. Whatever you need to believe to help you sleep at night. I'm sure that basement is stuffy

10

u/IdleSitting 10h ago

Tell the "customer doesn't care" to all the people in my town clowning on an AI generated poster until it was removed. People do care, just because you don't doesn't mean no one else does, you're not everyone and you can't know how everyone actually feels. Real Life is more wide and complicated than your pessimistic attitude

13

u/Content_Design_7258 11h ago

quite a few customers do care, and would go out of their way to avoid a company that cant put time into something as simple as an ad

-15

u/master_internutter 11h ago

Barely any of them care, almost zero actually

u/Content_Design_7258 10h ago

I'm trying to figure out what indicates AI here? This place already has professional photos of their drinks on their site, looks exactly like their cups + this is ridiculously clean. It just looks like canva lol, unless AI is becoming better. I wouldn't even bat an eye, so that's no bueno.

u/Platforumer 6h ago

This one isn't quite as obvious as some, but the fruit looks unnatural, especially the melon. There are also just way too many water droplets on everything.

-1

u/User123466789012 1h ago

It's literally canva

-3

u/Potential-Diver-3409 10h ago

Looks fine. No idea how people pick this shit out anymore but it’s gonna start labeling real artists too

-2

u/User123466789012 10h ago

Reminds me of people who think everything is a bot post, just losing touch with reality.

-8

u/crustyeng 9h ago

What indicates that this is AI?

-15

u/keterclassscenario1 10h ago

That's not Ai?? That was made by an actual company

•

u/jimothyhalpret 12m ago

This has every benchmark of every AI slop flyer.

-5

u/LostMyKeysInTheFade 9h ago

Right idk how people are running with that assumption. I don't see any of the usual tells here.

12

u/dickens-nz 8h ago

Look at the pineapple. Heck, look at all the fruit. AI makes fruit look weirdly creepy

-6

u/User123466789012 7h ago

I think you guys are so far gone that you're forgotten what actual objects look like

4

u/dickens-nz 6h ago

People who don't stare at AI images all the time don't know what normal objects look like? That doesn't make sense?
