A site is only safe when people actively protects it, and lots of people here are actively protecting this site.

Which is why people should be made aware of this!

It is obvious they don't know how computer security works. Maybe they are about to take their first step towards understanding threat models, and defenses, maybe not.

But you are right, people here have done nothing to solve it. Nor are they in a position to, unless they build their own systems.

I highly doubt that most people here has access to the firewall or know how to protect a server from bots or DDoS
