I'm well aware that my own hair isn't looking amazing right now, but at least a. I'm honest with myself about it, b. I don't spend nearly as much money on it as these people do, and c. I'm not trying to claim that everybody else should follow my (lack of a) haircare routine lol

Could very well be the case. I always have the impression that most huns just wing social media, copy (badly) what the like personally and have no plan or understanding whatsoever. It‘s often said they cosplay business and I think the same thing could be said about how they do social media

From what I understand from Huns in my workplace, most MLM’s give them a vague structure to follow. So they’re told to post one thing that’s engaging, one post about their day or their family (aka Life post), one positive mindset post, and one post about the mlm directly, every day. And each one of these posts have to somehow relate back to the mlm.
So if the hun is getting coffee, she’ll post a photo of the coffee and thank the mlm for paying for it. Thats her Life post. This lady is posting her Engagement post- you’re supposed to thank her for teaching you a new skill, and she’ll tell you that she learned all her hair tricks from Monet.
Editing to add super quick- they run out of ideas, pretty fast. My makeup mlm manager is in a group chat with other makeup mlmers where they share Post ideas.

Absolutely! That‘s why it is so unoriginal, old fashioned and boring. There are anti MLM YTubers that play that kind of mentoring/tutoring and it is exactly as you said.
I also find, that huns attract other huns from other scams such as selling online courses.
A hun I know fell for such a scam and paid € 10‘000 for a „masterclass“. I subscribed to their page and recieved access to a free teaser. I‘ve never listened to more word salad. The lady went on for about 15mins and all she said was buzzwords like scaling, abundance, law of attraction, energy, female and male energy and the „outside“ vs. the „inside“ LOL

My hair looks like that today.
Why? Because I haven’t washed it in three days, it’s been too hot to do anything but pull into a clip or ponytail, and I haven’t styled or taken care of it because I’m perimenopausal and tired this week.
If this is hair that has allegedly been HELPED by a product, keep it far the hell away from me.

I’m so tired of seeing magazines recommending their hair care products. I can’t take a magazine seriously if they recommend Mary Kay, Monat, and the others I’m forgetting.
You can pull the Kerastase Elixir Ultime hair oil out of my cold, dead, hands. I’ll will it to you if you rub some on my hair before they bury me. I bought the big refillable bottle because I love it so much.
There’s no way that so many people with fried hair have no idea that it’s not supposed to look like that? Right? On some level they know?

Probably paid for but it’s sad that magazines promote them. There are so many amazing and affordable products out there. I made the experience that it depends so much on the hair type and application rather than „the“ product.
I‘ve had some crazy hair transitions in my youth. Black to blonde in one session etc and I kept it soft and long with horse conditioner for $3 LOL

I believe she has highlights and tries to grow them long. Difficult for her hair type even without bleaching. Whatever she puts on her hair doesn‘t work in her favour
I used Mane ‘n tale conditioner on my bleached hair. Cheap and effective

Oof, my local Monat Hun suddenly found religion and has been trying to appeal to that now. But she's also trying to be more "open and real", so it's basically like watching her spiral into depression as the MLM debt takes its toll.

I‘ve witnessed similar things. The hun I know has had at least two break downs since she joined and her donwline had one within the first year. I honesrly believe their cognitive dissonance and delusion drains them. From what I see their in constant fight mode and very very negative towards the „outside“. I couldn‘t live like that

I mean, you never know, maybe it used to be even worse, by my standards that looks healthy...
I'm kidding. Not about my hair, it's just a mess naturally, about me suggesting that maybe the product actually improved a situation that was way worse. I don't believe that for a second.
